Onion Chilli Bhajji

Onion chilli bhajji is crispy, crunchy and tasty dish. It is a snacks item. It is simple recipe. does not take much time to prepare and gets done in only 15 minutes. Bhaji is also known as pakoras in North India and bajji in South India.

Ingredients :-

  • 1 Cup Gram Flour(Besan)
  • 1/2 Cup Chopped Onion
  • 1 Chopped Green Chili
  • 1/4 Cup Chopped Coriander leaves
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Cumin Powder
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Carom Seeds(Ajvain)
  • Red Chili Powder
  • Water
  • Oil
  • Salt

Recipe :-

  1. Take 1 cup gram flour(Besan) in a large bowl.
  2. Add 1/2 cup chopped onion, 1 chopped green chili, 1/4 cup chopped coriander leaves, 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder, 1/4 teaspoon cumin powder, 1/4 teaspoon carom seeds(Ajvain), red chili powder as per your taste and also salt.
  3. Mix it well.
  4. Add some water and mix it well.( Do not make batter to thin. It must be thick )
  5. Heat oil for deep frying in a deep pan.
  6. Once oil becomes hot then gently start pouring small spoonfuls of batter in hot oil.fry these Onion Chili Bhajjis on a medium flame.
  7. Fry the Bhajjis till they turn crispy and golden brown then take Bhajjis out of the oil on the kitchen paper towel. The kitchen paper towel will absorb the extra oil in bhajjis.
After some time Onion Chilli Bhajji will be  ready to eat. You can serve crispy Bhajji with spicy green chutney or tomato sauce and a few fried green chilies.

Extra Tips :-

  • Onion Chilli Bhajjis along with ginger tea is a perfect combination that is must on a rainy day.
