Rasgulla is an Indian syrupy dessert popular in the region of West Bengal which is famous for its mouth watering desserts. All the festivals and special occasions are incomplete without this sweet and delicious dish. 

Ingredients :-

  • 1 Litre full cream Milk
  • 2 Cup sugar
  • 4 Cup Water
  • 2 Teaspoon Lemon Juice, add as required

Recipe :-

  1. Take 1 litre milk in a pan and boil on a low flame.
  2. Once milk is boiled then add 2 teaspoon lemon juice and stir until the milk curdles.
  3. When you see the milk curdled completely then switch off the gas and rest it for 2 minutes.
  4. Drain the unwanted water from chhena(paneer).
  5. Rinse the chhena under running water to remove the acidic flavor.
  6. Then tie in the cloth and hang it for 1 hour or till chhena should not have any excess whey.
  7. The chhena is knead and then make roll to balls.
  8. Take 2 cup sugar in a pan. Add 4 cup water in it and boil it on high flame.
  9. Once sugar syrup becomes ready then lower the flame. 
  10. Add the balls in sugar syrup. Then boil it on high flame and till Rasgulla becomes spongy and doubles.
After that Rasgulla will be ready. Then let it cool down.
You can serve and garnish with Pista and saffron(keshar).
