Uttapam
Ingredients :-
- 3 Cup Rice
- 1 Cup Urad Dal
- 1/2 Cup Chopped Onion
- 1/2 Cup Chopped Tomato
- 1 Chopped Green Chili
- 1/4 Cup Chopped Coriander Leaves
- Oil
- Salt
Recipe :-
- Take 3 cup rice in a large bowl. Wash it to 3 to 4 times very well. Add 6 to 8 cup water in rice and soak them for overnight. You can soak for 4 to 6 hours.
- Also take 1 cup urad dal in a bowl. Wash it to 3 to 4 times very well. Add 3 cup water in urad dal and soak them for overnight. You can soak for 4 to 6 hours.
- After that drain of the water from rice and urad dal.
- Blend to smooth paste of rice and urad dal with water as required one by one. Transfer the smooth paste in a large bowl.
- Mix it well making sure everything is combined well.
- Then cover and rest in a warm place till the batter ferments and doubles.
- If batter becomes ready then add salt as per your taste and mix it well.
- Heat up the dosa pan. Put the oil in a pan and spread up with brush.
- Then spread out batter in a circular motion slightly thick on the dosa pan.
- Sprinkle the chopped onion on it.
- Sprinkle the chopped tomato and chopped green chili on top of the onion.
- Sprinkle the chopped coriander leaves on top of the tomato and green chili then toppings gently press into the batter.
- Add 1 teaspoon of oil around the Uttapam .
- Cover it and let it cooked for 1-2 minutes in low flame.
- Flip over on the other side and Uttapam turns golden brown.
After some time Uttapam will be ready then you can serve it with chutney or sauce.
