Namkeen Chirote

Namkeen Chirote is a crispy dish. Basically chirote is a sweet dish but you can make namkeen chirote. you can make every time and eat anytime with tea.

Ingredients :-

  • 1 Cup White Flour ( Maida)
  • 1 Teaspoon Corn Flour
  • 1Teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • 1 Teaspoon Carom Seeds ( Ajwain)
  • Chaat Masala
  • Ghee
  • Salt
  • Oil

Recipe :-

  1. Take 1 cup white flour (Maida) in a medium bowl.
  2. Add cumin seeds, carom seeds (Ajwain), salt and mix it.
  3. Add 1 teaspoon ghee, melted ( If you not like ghee then you can use oil) and mix it well.
  4. Add water as required and make it dough. ( dough do not make too sticky too tight ) Cover and keep the dough aside for 10 minutes to set.
  5. Now to make sata, take 1 teaspoon ghee in a small bowl. Add 1 teaspoon corn flour and mix it well. Whisk the mixture until it turns fluffy. When the mixture turns even, sata will be ready.
  6. After 20 minutes dough is set, knead the dough and make 6 small parts.flatten dough ball with palm.
  7. Take 1 dough ball and roll into thin poori with 8 - 9 inch diameter. Place the rolled poori on a plate. Like wise roll five more dough ball.
  8. Take poori in a plate and spread some sata on the poori. Then take 2nd poori and place on the top off the 1st poori. Again take some sata and spread it evenly. Like wise make 4 more pooris.
  9. Now roll the poori tightly into a long. Cut off the sides and keep them aside.
  10. Then cut the roll into 2 cm  pieces and place them in a plate.
  11. Take a pieces one by one and press it.
  12. Then roll each piece into a small circle.
  13. Heat oil in a pan and drop the rolled chirote in the hot oil. Fry them under low flame.
  14. Keep turning and once the bubbles are stopped, then take it out in a plate. Like wise make other rolled chirote. Wait until it cools. Then crispy chirote will be ready.
