Potato Cutlet

Potato cutlet is a very tasty and crispy. It is very easy to make and simple dish. It is a snacks item. It is made out of boiled potatoes, onion, green chili and various spices. It is served hot and warm along with a side of tamarind chutney, green chutney, sauce, and sometimes yogurt. 
 

Ingredients :-

  • 2 Medium Boiled Potatoes
  • 1 Fine Chopped Green Chili
  • 1/2 Cup Chopped Onion
  • 1/2 Cup Chopped Coriander Leaves
  • 1/2 tsp Coriander Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Red Chili Powder
  • 1 tbsp Corn flour
  • Water
  • Salt
  • Oil

Recipe :-

  1. Take 2 medium boiled potatoes in a bowl. First peel it then mash very well with a fork or with your hand or with potato masher.
  2. Add 1/2 tsp coriander powder, 1/2 tsp cumin powder 1/2 tsp red chili powder, salt as per your taste, 1/2 cup chopped onion, 1 fine chopped green chili, 1/2 cup chopped coriander leaves and mix it well.(You can add green peas.)
  3. Make sure everything is combined well.
  4. Divide the cutlet dough into  7 - 8 parts. Roll the dough to balls.
  5. Then flatten them gently and make thick cutlets.
  6. Take a bowl. Add 1 tbsp corn flour, water as require and make the batter.( Batter do not make too thick or too thin)
  7. Heat some oil in a pan for shallow fry.
  8. When oil becomes hot then take 1 cutlet and deep in corn flour batter covering both sides.
  9. Then shallow fry the cutlet in the hot oil.(You can add 2-3 cutlets at a time)
  10. Flip it and fry both the sides on medium flame till it turns light golden colour and crispy.
  11. Then remove it on a kitchen paper towel.
  12. Similarly, fry all the cutlets and serve it with tomato sauce or green chutney.
