Hello Friends, welcome to all of you on our blog recipes by Shraddha. Today's dish is Masale Bhat. It is a maharastrian dish. This recipe made with rice, mixed vegetables and spices. This dish is mostly made in Maharastrian style wedding and special occasion meals. You can serve it with mattha or raita.

Ingredients :-

  • 3 Cup Rice
  • 1 Cup Cauliflower
  • 1/2 Cup Chopped Tomato
  • 1 Cup Green Peas
  • 1 Cup Chopped Onion (In Vertical Slices)
  • 6 - 7 Chopped Green Chili
  • 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1/2 tsp Red Chili Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 2 - 3 Black Pepper
  • 2 Cloves
  • 1 Inch Cinnamon
  • 2 Medium Bay Leaf(Tej Patta)
  • 1 tsp Black Cumin Seeds
  • 1 tbsp Goda Masala(mentioned below)
  • 1/4 Cup Chopped Coriander Leaves
  • 6 Cup Hot Water
  • Salt
  • Oil

Ingredients of Goda Masala :-

  • 2 tbsp Coriander Seeds
  • 4-5 Green Cardamom
  • 1 tbsp Black Cumin Seeds
  • 3-4 Cinnamon Stick
  • 2 Star Phool
  • mace(Javetri)
  • Rock Flower(Dagad Phool)

Recipe Of Goda Masala :-

  1. Take a grinder jar.
  2. Add 3 tbsp coriander seeds, 4-5 green cardamom, 1 tbsp black cumin seeds, 3-4 cinnamon stick, 2 star phool.
  3. Add some mace, rock flower and grind it well.(use all raw spices) 

Recipe :-

  1. Take 3 cup rice in a bowl and wash it for 2-3 times.
  2. Heat some oil in a deep pan. Add 2 medium bay leaf(Tej Patta), 2 cloves, 2-3 black pepper, 1 inch cinnamon and saute it for a second. Add black cumin seeds let them sizzle.
  3. Add 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste and saute it well.
  4.  Add chopped green chili and saute it for few seconds. Add 1 cup chopped onion and saute it for 1 minute on medium flame.
  5. Add 1/2 cup chopped tomato, 1 cup cauliflower, 1 cup green peas and saute it for few seconds.  
  6. Add 1/2 tsp turmeric powder, 1/2 tsp red chili powder, 1 tbsp goda masala and saute it for 1/2 minute.
  7. Add 3 cup washed rice and saute it for 1 minute. Add 6 cup hot water, salt as per your taste and mix it well.
  8. Keep it covered and cook it on medium flame. Stir it occasionally.
  9. If masale bhat will ready then switch off the flame.
  10. After some time masale bhat will be ready. Then you can serve it and garnish with coriander leaves.
