Hello friends, welcome to all of you on our blog recipes by Shraddha. Today's dish is veg manchurian. It is a widely popular Indo Chinese dish across India. Veg manchurian is a class of Indian Chinese dish made by roughly chopping and deep frying a main ingredients like cauliflower, paneer, cabbage and then sautéing it in a sauce floured with soy sauce. 

Let's start veg manchurian recipe.   


Ingredients:- 

  • 250 Gram Cabbage Grated
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper powder
  • 2 tbsp White Flour(Maida)
  • 1 Inch Ginger Fine Chopped 
  • 3 - 4 Cloves Garlic Chopped 
  • 1/2 Cup Green bell Pepper Cut in slices
  • 1/2 Cup Yellow bell  Pepper Cut in Slices
  • 1/2 Cup Red bell Pepper Cut in Slices
  • 1/2 Cup Onion Cut in Quarters
  • 2 Green Chilli Cut in Vertically
  • Corn Flour slurry(1 tbsp Corn flour + water mixed)
  • 1 tbsp Schezwan Chutney
  • 1 tbsp Red Chilli Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Tomato ketchup
  • 1 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • Corn flour
  • Water
  • Salt
  • Oil

Recipe:-

  1. Take 250 gram grated cabbage in a medium bowl.
  2. Add 1 tsp black pepper powder, 2 tbsp corn flour, 2 tbsp white flour, salt as per your taste and mix it well. And make the manchurian balls.
  3. Heat oil in a deep pan.
  4. Once oil becomes hot, then add the 4 - 5 manchurian balls and fry it. Fry it till becomes the crispy and golden brown colour.
  5. Transfer the manchurian ball in a plate.
  6. Also fry remaining manchurian balls.
  7. After that heat 3 tbsp oil in same pan. Add garlic, ginger, green chilli and saute it for few seconds on high flame.
  8. Add onion, red bell pepper, green bell pepper, yellow bell pepper, one pinch of salt and saute it for a minute on high flame.
  9. Add 1 tbsp soya sauce, 1 tbsp red chili sauce, 2 tbsp tomato sauce and mix it well.(If you use different sauces, take them in a small bowl beforehand, so that it will be easier for you to use.)
  10. Add some more water, corn flour slurry, salt, mix it well and cook the sauce thickens.
  11. Add the fried manchurian balls and mix it well.
  12. After that veg manchurian will be ready, garnish with coriander leaves or spring onions then serve immediately.
