Mango Burfi Recipe/Mango Barfi/Mango Mawa Burfi
Mango burfi recipe/mango barfi/mango mawa burfi is a Indian dessert. I learnt how to make mango mawa burfi at home using mango pulp and mawa/khoya. Mango is the season of the king of fruits in India, so today's burfi is flavored with mango.
Ingredients for Mawa :-
- 1 Cup milk powder
- 1/2 Cup milk
- 2 tbsp Ghee
Ingredients for Mango Burfi :-
- 1 Cup Alphonso mango pulp
- 1 Cup sugar
- 2 tbsp Ghee
- Saffron strands ( Optional )

How to Make Instant Mawa/Khoya :-
- Add 2 tbsp ghee in a pan, once ghee melts then add 1/2 cup milk and stir it till milk boil properly on low flame.
- Add 1 cup milk powder gradually and keep stirring continuously on low flame.
- Then mixture has started to release from the pan and after 5 minutes it starts to thicken.
- Now mawa/khoya is ready, switch off the flame. Mawa/khoya transfer to a plate and keep aside.( You can be used immediately or after 2 hrs for making burfi. )
How to Make Mango Mawa Burfi :-
- Add 2 tbsp ghee in a pan and melt it on low flame.
- Add 1 cup Alphonso mango pulp and keep stirring on low flame for 10 minutes.
- After 10 minutes mango pulp will thicken then add 1 cup mawa/khoya and mix it well with mango pulp.
- Stir it continuously for 10 minutes. Add 1 cup sugar, 1 pinch of saffron strands and mix it well then after a minute sugar will dissolve. Stir continuously on low - medium flame for 10 - 15 minutes.
- After 10 - 15 minutes mixture starts to release from the pan.
- Dough like consistency will formed after 10 - 15 minutes. Grease the serving plate with ghee and pour the mixture.
- Set it well with the help of spoon in the serving plate.
- Garnish with chopped almonds, cover with foil paper and set it well. Let it set for 1 hour in the fridge.
- After cooled completely remove the foil paper and cut the mango burfi into square shapes. Then tasty mango burfi is ready to serve.
