Chana Chaat/Channa Chaat
Chana chaat is a popular Indian snack. It is made with Boiled chana, onion, tomato, lemon juice and spices. Black chickpeas are no less than a bumper packet of nutritional blast. It is richly filled with vitamins, minerals, fiber and the right amount of caloric value. You can make for breakfast or evening snack.
Ingredients :-
- 2 Cup kala chana(Black chickpeas)
- 1/4 Cup coriander leaves chopped
- 1 Medium onion chopped
- 1 Small tomato chopped
- 1 tsp Red chilli powder
- 1 tsp Coriander powder
- 1 tsp Cumin powder
- 1 tsp Chaat masala
- 1 tsp Cumin seeds
- 1/2 tsp Black salt
- 1 Lemon juice
- 1 tbsp Oil
- Salt
Recipe :-
- Take 2 cup kala chana(Black chickpeas) in medium bowl and wash it well.
- Add some water and soak chana over night or 6-7 hour.
- Drain the excescess water then add soaked chana into the cooker, add 1 glass water.
- Add 1 tsp salt and pressure cook until 2 whistles on medium flame, after 2 whistles cook on low flame for 10 minutes.
- Remove the excess water and keep side.
- Take a small bowl. Add 1 tsp red chilli powder, 1 tsp coriander powder, 1 tsp cumin powder, 1 tsp chaat masala, 1/2 tsp black salt, and 2 tbsp water then mix it well.
- Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan, add 1 tsp cumin seeds, add mixture of spices and saute it well for 1 minute on low flame.
- Add boiled chana and saute it well for 2 minutes on medium flame.
- Remove the chana from it in a mixing bowl. Add chopped onion, chopped tomato, chopped coriander leaves, lemon juice, salt to taste and mix it well.
- Chana chaat will be ready to serve.
Tips :-
- If you mix all the spices with a little water first and then use them while frying, they will not burn.
- If you like Amchur powder then you can use it in this recipe.
