Palak Kadhi/Spinach Kadhi/Palak kadhi Recipe

Kadhi is a type of curry made with yogurt or butter milk. Spinach is a good source of minerals and vitamins. You can make this dish at home for dinner and eat with jeera rice or steam rice or chapati or jowar bhakri.


Ingredients :-

  • 1 Cup sour yogurt whisked
  • 2 tbsp Gram flour(Besan)
  • 2 Cup chopped spinach(Palak)
  • 1/4 Cup coriander leaves chopped
  • 4-5 Garlic cloves fine chopped
  • 1 Inch ginger fine chopped
  • 2 Green chilli chopped
  • Turmeric powder a pinch
  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 10-12 groundnuts
  • Curry leaves
  • 1 Cloves
  • Water
  • Salt
  • Oil

Recipe :-

  1. Whisk 1 cup sour yogurt and gram flour(Besan) till smooth then keep a side.
  2. Heat 2 tbsp oil in a deep pan.
  3. Add 1 cloves, 1 tsp cumin seeds and let them sizzle.
  4. Add garlic, ginger, green chilli, few curry leaves and saute it for few seconds.
  5. Add groundnuts and chopped spinach(Palak) then saute it for 1 minute.
  6. Add yogurt mixture, salt to taste, turmeric powder add some water as per require and stir it continuously on medium flame.
  7. Stir it till the gram flour gets cooked and the kadhi thickens. Add some chopped coriander leaves then switch off the flame.
  8. Palak kadhi will be ready to serve.
