Masala Pav/Pav Masala
A perfect spicy street food snacks recipe made with pav bhaji masala topped and stuffed to pav bread. Making masala pav is the easiest of all these and just takes about 20 to 25 minutes. since these don't need any chaat chutneys, they can be made instantly without any planning. These are good to enjoy as a evening snack.
Ingredients :-
- 7 - 8 Soaked Byadgi chilli
- 1/3 Cup garlic cloves
- 2 Medium onions fine chopped
- 2 Medium tomatoes fine chopped
- 1 Medium capsicum fine chopped
- 1/2 Cup coriander leaves chopped
- 1 tbsp Kasuri methi
- 2 tsp Pav bhaji masala
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1 tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder
- 1 tsp Coriander powder
- 1 tsp Cumin seeds
- Ladi pav
- Water
- Salt
- Oil
Recipe for Masala :-
- Add soaked byadgi chilli and garlic cloves in a mixer grinder to make a watery paste, then keep the paste aside for later use.
- Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan, (If you like butter then you can use butter) add cumin seeds and chopped onion, stir it and cook it on medium high flame for half minute.
- Add chopped capsicum, chopped tomato, turmeric powder, kashmiri red chilli powder, coriander powder, pav bhaji masala, kasuri methi, 4 tbsp chilli & garlic paste, chopped coriander leaves, salt to taste and stir it. Cook on medium flame for 2 - 3 minutes.
- Add 1 cup water and lightly mash the veggies with the help of pav bhaji masher.
- Masala is ready for masala pav. You can remove in a bowl and then reheat it with as much as required.
Recipe for Masala Pav :-
- Take the ladi pav and slice each pav (Bread) into half horizontally.
- Take a pan, add oil or butter, 1 tbsp chilli garlic chutney and some chopped coriander leaves, then add a sufficient amount of prepared vegetable masala.
- Coat the pav well with the masala from both side and cook for few seconds.
- squeeze some lemon juice and garnish with coriander leaves.
- Then serve hot masala pav with onion.
