Hello friends, welcome to our blog Recipes by Shraddha. Today's dish is tastiest moong dal kachori. Kachori is a deep fried snacks. You can make only in 30 minutes.


Ingredients of dough :-

  • 1 Cup white flour
  • 2 tbsp Ghee
  • Water
  • Salt

Ingredients for kachori masala :-

  • 1 tbsp Coriander seeds crushed
  • 1 Cup soaked moong dal
  • 2 tbsp Gram flour(Besan)
  • 1 tbsp Fennel seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1 tbsp Garlic chilli paste( take 3 green chilli, 4 - 5 garlic cloves and make to a paste it)
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp Red chilli powder
  • Salt
  • Oil

Recipe of Dough :-

  1. Take 1 cup white flour(maida) in a medium bowl. Add salt, 2 tbsp ghee and mix everything properly.
  2. Add water and knead a semi hard dough.
  3. Keep aside for 10 - 15 minutes to rest.

How to Make Kachori Masala :-

  1. Take soaked dal in grinder and grind it.( Do not use water) after that keep aside. 
  2. Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds, crushed coriander seeds, fennel seeds and saute it for few seconds.
  3. Add garlic chilli paste, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and saute it well.
  4. Add gram flour(besan) and saute it well.
  5. Add moong dal paste, salt to taste and saute it for 5 minutes on medium flame.
  6. After that kachori masala will be ready then switch off the flame.
  7. Take out the masala from the pan in a bowl and keep aside to cool down.

How to Make Kachori :-

  1. Keep oil to heat in a deep pan on medium flame.
  2. Take a small portion of dough and spread it using your hand keep it thick in central and thin at the edges.
  3. Add spoonful of kachori masala in it and close it up and roll light with a rolling pin( like a puri).
  4. Then put it into hot oil, cook it on medium flame and flip it intermittently.
  5. Fry until golden brown and crispy then take it out from oil.
  6. Repeat the process to make remaining kachories.
  7. Serve the hot moong dal kachori with fried green chilli or green chutney or sauce.
