Pav Bhaji

Pav bhaji is a famous dish in India, specially Mumbai's pav bhaji is famous in the world. it's origins are in the state of Maharashtra. The pav bhaji is derived from the Marathi language pav and bhaji. The pav is type of double roti and bhaji is cooking by some vegetables like potato, cauliflower, green peas, capsicum, tomato etc. Bhaji garnished with coriander leaves, chopped onion and 3-4 drops of lemon juice and lightly toasted pav. 


Ingredients :-

  • 4 Potato
  • 3 - 4 Green chilli fine chopped
  • 1 Cup green peas
  • 1 Cup cauliflower
  • 2 Onion chopped
  • 2 Tomato chopped
  • 1 Medium Capsicum Chopped
  • Coriander leaves chopped
  • 1 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tbsp red chilli powder
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp Kashmiri red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds
  • Pav bhaji masala
  • 1 Cube butter
  • water
  • Salt 
  • Oil

Recipe :-

  1. Peel the potato and wash it then cut it and cut the cauliflower in medium size.
  2. Add the potato, cauliflower, capsicum, green peas, some green chilli chopped and 1/4 tsp salt in cooker.
  3. Add 1 glass of water in it then pressure cook two whistle on medium flame.
  4. After two whistle cook on low flame for ten minutes. Cool down and mash it with help of masher then keep a side for after use.
  5. Heat oil in a pan add cumin seeds and let them sizzle.
  6. Add ginger garlic paste, green chilli  and saute until it golden brown.
  7. Add onion and saute until it golden brown, add butter and mix it well.
  8. Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, red chilli powder, Kashmiri red chilli powder, 1 tsp pav bhaji masala and mix it.
  9. saute it for few seconds then add tomato, 1/4 tsp salt and cook it.
  10. mash it with the help of spoon.
  11. Add mashed vegetables in it and mix it well. Add some water as require and mix it. 
  12. Add one tsp pav bhaji masala, salt as per taste and mix it well.
  13. Add some Coriander leaves, mix it and cook on low flame for 10 minutes.
  14. After that pav bhaji will be ready then serve it with pav and garnish bhaji with coriander leaves.
