Bread Chivda/Bread Poha

Bread chivda is a perfect tea time snacks or breakfast very easy and quick recipe. It is a great way to use leftover slices of bread. Bread chivda is made by bread, onion, tomato, groundnuts and various spices. 


Ingredients :-

  • 10 Bread slices
  • 1 Medium onion chopped
  • 1/2 Tomato chopped
  • Coriander leaves chopped
  • 1/4 Cup groundnuts
  • 1 or 2 green chilli chopped
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • Salt 
  • Oil

Recipe :-

  1. Take bread slices and crumble the bread, Heat oil in a pan.
  2. Add mustard seeds and let them pop, add cumin seeds and let them sizzle.
  3. Add green chilli, groundnuts and saute it for few seconds.
  4. Add onion and saute until it golden brown colour after that add turmeric powder, red chilli powder and saute it for few seconds.
  5. Add tomato, one pinch of salt and cook the tomato well. Add crumbled bread, salt as per taste and mix it well.
  6. Add some coriander leaves and mix it, then cover it with the lid and cook it for a minutes.
  7. After that bread chivda will be ready then serve it.
